We recognize the impact of our operations on the environment and aim to be an increasingly efficient green and environmental hotel. We strive to minimize any detrimental effects as a result of our business. TURQUOISE HOTEL has received many awards for its Environmental friendly policy:

GREEN KEY

Green Key is presently the largest global eco-label for accommodation recognized and supported by the World Tourism Organization and UNEP. Green Key is an eco-label for tourism facilities that aims to contribute to prevention of climate change and sustainable tourism by awarding and promoting good initiatives. Green Key aims to change the practices and behaviours of tourism actors including guests, enterprises, authorities, local communities and to involve them in increasing their responsibility towards their own environment.

TUI ENVIRONMENTAL CHAMPION

Every year, questionnaires filled out by holidaymakers for TUI Germany together with measurable environmental performance are used to ascertain the most environmentally-friendly hotels worldwide from our customers' point of view. The winners are awarded the "TUI Environment Champion" prize.

TRAVELIFE

Travelife is an international certification scheme for hotels and accommodations that helps them to improve how they manage their environmental and social impacts, such as the way their energy or water consumption, or how they treat the people they employ or the local community where they operate.

BLUE FLAG

The Blue Flag programme promotes sustainable development in freshwater and marine areas. It challenges local authorities and beach operators to achieve high standards in the four categories of: water quality, environmental management, environmental education and safety. Over the years, the Blue Flag has become a highly respected and recognized eco-label working to bring together the tourism and environmental sectors at local, regional and national levels.
